The resources offered for download as Phonic Resource Sheets were developed by Mrs Sue
Spencer, our Reading Support Teacher.
Influenced in her approach by the PhonographixTM
program, Sue's teaching of Phonics, has been increasingly
influential in the way, many of us now approach the development
of our student's phonological awareness and how they apply this
growing knowledge in their day to day reading, writing and
speaking and listening activities. These resources offered
for for use in your classroom, are the result of many
hours work on Sue's behalf, and we would be grateful, that you
do not distribute them without acknowledgement of the source.
We hope you find them as valuable as we have in supporting our
students, in making links between their day to day talk and the
development of writing and reading. Other materials here
include a developing collection of
notebooks for the Smart Board and Phonic Photo Slideshows, developed in house,
some based
on and in support of Sue's materials, while others draw on and
use the National Primary
Strategy's Playing With Sound Materials as a starting point. |
